AKS clusters with local accounts enabled

What LeftSize checks

Find AKS clusters where local accounts are enabled. The local cluster admin credentials bypass Microsoft Entra ID authentication, conditional access and Kubernetes RBAC based on Entra identities, and are hard to audit. Disabling local accounts requires Microsoft Entra ID integration on the cluster.

Why it matters

Publicly exposed or unprotected resources are one of the most common causes of cloud security incidents.
