Storage accounts paying the SFTP hourly charge

AzureCost optimizationFree planSeverity: mediumazure.storage

Storage accounts with SFTP enabled (flat hourly charge whether or not SFTP is used)

What LeftSize checks

Find storage accounts with SFTP enabled. Enabling the SFTP endpoint adds a flat hourly charge per storage account (about $0.30/h, roughly $216-219 a month) whether or not it is used. SFTP can be switched off and on again at any time; local users are kept.

Why it matters

Resources like this keep billing every hour while delivering little or no value, and nobody notices until the invoice arrives.
